Co-curricular and Enrichment
Enriching Opportunities
At һФһÂë×ÊÁÏ, we aim to ensure that students gain experiences outside the classroom. We believe this is essential to allow students to gain further knowledge within curriculum areas, to see knowledge in action and to develop skills for the wider world. Each year, students will have the opportunity to take part in educational experiences which compliments the students’ studies. These include a diverse selection of events, from internal faith panels, to trips to local businesses to the ‘Battlefields trip’ to Belgium with the Humanities team.
In addition, the academy is a regular host to guest speakers to support students’ academic development, enhance their cultural capital and their understanding of the wider world. These include the ‘Operational live team’, as featured on Dragon’s Den, exploring human anatomy and physiology, The ‘National Enterprise Challenge’ – the UK’s largest enterprise competition. This aims to provide students with a true insight into real life business, brand development and business strategy.
Extracurricular Activities
Education outside of the classroom is integral to the Trinity experience and all Phase One students (Year 7 & Year 8) will take part in a minimum of one extracurricular graduation club each week. This aligns with their graduation process, in which one of the success criteria is their attendance to a Graduation Club.
In addition ‘Graduation’ clubs, we also have Involve clubs. These are open to all year groups and range from sporting activities, music, drama and dance classes, handwriting clubs, STEM club to media clubs. We also offer students the opportunity to work with our staff on local community projects to support local charities and community groups. These include the Forget Me Not Trust and Overgate Hospice, The Halifax Food Bank and The Mayfield Trust.
Please click below to find our ‘Extra-Curricular Brochure’. This is updated each term to give you an overview of all clubs that are available and when they take place. We advise showing students this to help them make a decision around their clubs.
